Selectamark Shortlisted for Two Prestigious British Security Awards

Selectamark Security Systems Ltd has been shortlisted in two major categories at the upcoming British Security Awards 2026, recognising its standout contribution to the security industry and continued innovation in crime prevention.

The company has been named a finalist for Contribution to the Industry, reflecting its significant national impact over the past 12 months. Through its flagship solutions, BikeRegister and SelectaDNA, Selectamark has supported over 40 UK police forces and helped drive measurable reductions in crime, including a 45.6% decrease in cycle theft in parts of Merseyside.

Selectamark has also been shortlisted for Innovative Project of the Year for its work with the Metropolitan Police Service on Operation Zoridon, a pioneering initiative tackling organised retail crime across London. The project introduced a first of its kind use of forensic marking as an operational intelligence tool, leading to over 120 raids, 32 arrests and the recovery of thousands of stolen items.

These dual nominations highlight Selectamark’s leadership in developing evidence-based, technology-driven solutions that support policing, protect communities and disrupt criminal activity at scale.

Commenting on the shortlisting, Selectamark’s Managing Director, James Brown, said:

“We are incredibly proud to be recognised in these two categories. It really reflects the strength of the partnerships we have built with police forces and organisations across the UK, and the shared commitment we all have to finding new, effective ways to prevent crime and keep people safe.”

Winners will be announced in June 2026.
