SelectaDNA MetallicDNA is designed for the protection and identification of valuable metals and outdoor equipment. It is a high tech asset/infrastructure marking solution which consists of a group of ceramic particles and thousands of microdots.
The particles are read by our special scanner which shines light onto them and measures their refraction. The scanner does not require any special skills to use.
The SelectaDNA MetallicDNA scanner can be programmed to show the client's name when the code is read.
How it works
The SelectaDNA MetallicDNA solution comes in an easy-to-use aerosol containing two identifiers: a unique synthetic DNA code and metal microdots which both identify who the registered owner is. The code on the metal microdots and the DNA code also are both linked to a secure database, accessible to Police at all times through a secure online login.
The SelectaDNA MetallicDNA spray contains a UV tracer. By simply shining a UV torch over a marked item, a blue fluorescence will indicate the presence of SelectaDNA solution. Trace nanoparticles in the liquid also authenticate the mark as a genuine SelectaDNA product.
Suitable applications
Local councils are using Grease to protect metal stock including manhole and drain covers, street furniture, road signs and statues.
Used by local authorities, police forces and small, medium and large businesses, SelectaDNA MetallicDNA can also be used on a smaller scale, with a generic Trace code being used to authenticate the mark is a genuine SelectaDNA product and the holographic microdots prove ownership.
