Retailers in Sweden Protect Their Stock

Haglöfs, a leading outdoor equipment retailer in Gothenburg, Sweden, that sells ski jackets, mountaineering 
equipment and hiking gear has marked some of its more valuable items in store to prevent and deter theft. The shop 
has also installed the SelectaDNA Intruder spray to deter robbery and shoplifting.

Another retailer, Bauhaus, which specialises in goods for home and DIY projects, has introduced SelectaDNA 
marking in store for some of the more expensive tools it sells. In the event that an item is stolen, the unique DNA 
marking on the product will allow police, security guards and customs officials to quickly trace it back to the store.
