A community group in North Lanarkshire has undertaken a new crime prevention project that involves property marking their tools and equipment with SelectaDNA.
Coatbridge Men's Shed is a volunteer-run charity, part of the Scottish Men’s Sheds Association, and is open to local men to offer them a welcoming and supportive environment in which to meet up. The project aims to help reduce isolation and loneliness in the community.
Monklands Police has helped members of the group to mark tools belonging to the charity, and which are used by the men to build things and to share their skills and even develop new ones.
