Discount supermarket group Rema 1000 is rolling out the SelectaDNA Spray system to deter robbery at all of its stores in Denmark.
The spray system recently helped police secure a conviction when several suspects were arrested for a robbery and police were able to identify exactly who the offender was, due to the fact that he had been sprayed with the invisible DNA-coded spray.
The robber later admitted to police that he had committed the crime when he was shown traces of the spray (which shows up under UV light) on his clothing.
