Cambridgeshire Constabulary Crack Down on Moped Crime

Cambridgeshire Constabulary were called out to a report of two abandoned motorbikes in Teversham, with a Yamaha confirmed as stolen and a Honda yet to be returned to it's owner.

Whilst investigating, three offenders turned up and immediately fled the scene, one of which was a 16 year-old by who had previously been sprayed with SelectaDNA's Tagging Spray when fleeing another crime scene.

The 16 year-old was later arrested during a search of his home where the Police Officers found and recovered another motorbike, which was previously reported stolen.

A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Constabulary said that, "The Neighbourhood Team are working daily to tackle moped and motorcycle theft in Cambridge and secure convictions on those involved."
