A LEADING high street pharmacy chain in the UK has successfully protected valuable stock for more than six months following the installation of a SelectaDNA intruder spray at one of its branches in Glasgow, Scotland.
The shop had previously been broken into six times in one month, sustaining damage on each occasion. However, since the installation of the spray system, which emits a burst of forensic DNA solution on activation, there have been ZERO break-ins reported.
Andrew Knights, Managing Director of Selectamark, the UK company that produces SelectaDNA, said: “Our SelectaDNA spray products give pharmacy owners and managers added protection and peace of mind that their valuable and vital stock is well protected.”
He continued: “If the worst does happen and a looter or burglar enters the premises by force, they will be sprayed with the DNA which links them instantly to the crime scene.
“However, as SelectaDNA is a highly effective deterrent it is extremely likely that any offender would flee as soon as they are sprayed, as the DNA fear-factor among criminals is high.”
Meanwhile in the Netherlands, independent pharmacies in Almere and Amsterdam have also been using the SelectaDNA Spray to ward off criminals.
There have been no known burglaries since the installation of the spray systems and pharmacy owners are very pleased with the results.
