Shopping Centre Secured With Spray

FRENCH retail group Auchan has deployed SelectaDNA Spray to deter robberies in a brand new shopping centre in Epinay-sur-Seine. All entrances have been armed with the DNA Spray, which if activated by an intruder emits a burst of forensic solution onto the offender. The spray solution contains a UV Tracer and DNA code, uniquely coded for each premises, to link the fleeing criminal to the scene of the crime. Although invisible and harmless, the solution can remain on the criminal for weeks, clinging to fibres and settling in creases of the skin. Police and security forces in Epinay-sur-Seine are now armed with equipment to detect SelectaDNA on offenders.
