A new burglary reduction initiative has launched in the south-east district of Amsterdam.
This new project aims to not only provide SelectaDNA Home Kits to prevent burglaries but to increase community awareness on crime prevention.
The kits are made available at no cost to home-owners who can apply to be part of the scheme as a group of neighbours.
A similar scheme in Bremen, Germany, showed that this interaction between neighbours was highly beneficial and helps create safer neighbourhoods.
