SelectaDNA Grease is used to mark outdoor items at risk of theft.

Each batch of SelectaDNA Grease solution contains a unique synthetic DNA code and a UV tracer. The solution is virtually invisible to the naked eye, however the UV tracer fluoresces blue under UV lights such as search lights used by the police.

When a thief handles marked goods, the grease transfers onto his/her hands and clothing. It is virtually impossible to remove and lasts for weeks despite washing. SelectaDNA Grease irrefutably links criminals to crime scenes.

The grease is ideal for outdoor use on metals such as zinc, copper and lead. These materials are all particularly vulnerable to theft at present. The cost of lead has nearly trebled over the last 18 months making it an even more lucrative steal.

Apply using the 25mm-wide brush provided with the Grease. 50g of SelectaDNA Grease covers 12m (when applied using the 25mm brush provided).
