This portable lamp has two 4 watt lamps, housed in a strong aluminium extrusion. The internal nickel-cadmium rechargeable battery will give over 3 hours continuous use after an overnight charge, equivalent to a normal day's usage. A separate power supply is available for charging, but the Illuminator may be charged from any DC source between 9 and 18 volts. Applications include checking of security marks on property, checking security safeguards on passports, visas, driving licenses, checking documents for erasures and alterations and scene of crime usage. Also, ideal for checking for DNA forensic markings.
